Welcome to Sunshine Coast Chinese School. We provides a variety of Chinese courses from young kids to adults. In 2019,Sunshine Coast Chinese is proudly affiliated with Queensland MiaoMiao Chinese School and became the Sunshine Coast Campus.
Established in 1997, Queensland MiaoMiao Chinese School is a non- Profit organization in Queensland. The school is also a member of Ethnic Schools Association of Queensland (CLS: community language school) and is officially recorded by the Ministry of Education in Australia. With over 1500 students, 6 campuses spread out through QLD, Miao Miao Chinese school offers the programs open to all the communities by organising the teaching of Chinese courses from Preschool to Grade Twelve, Chinese culture and traditional education, folk songs and dances, traditional painting and abacus. Our philosophy for learning is “Fun, Interactive and Inspire”. This philosophy is exemplified in all that we teach
and in the learning environment we create. We endeavour to guide and lead every student to experience and explore the
Chinese language and culture in a fun, interactive and encouraging learning environment.
Our Teachers
The Principle that overviews the courses at the school is a native from China with a gained qualification of Masters of Education from a University in Australia. She has taught the Chinese Mandarin Language for over 10 years in public and private schools.
She has taught at University and is also a judging panellist on the interschool Mandarin language competitions. She loves teaching and seeing students develop their Mandarin vocabulary, understanding and writing of the Chinese language. The Sunshine Coast Chinese School was established to allow anyone one who wants to speak Chinese are given the teachings to do so.
The Mandarin teachers at the school speak Chinese as their native speaking language and have experience teaching the Mandarin language in a school environment, the teachers take great care and pride in teaching the students the Chinese language. All the teachers hold the blue cards.(Working with Children).
